My Story

B. R. Griffin has a passion for storytelling. He began writing at a very young age which led him to other creative forms of storytelling including video production, photography, music and more. When he was nine years old he enjoyed adding lightsaber visual effects to his videos.

In 7th grade he began writing his first book. He stopped writing it after 165 pages, 12 point font, single-spaced, and focused his attention on film making. He has always had intentions to return to that first book to rewrite and finish it. For now he wants to focus on other stories. He graduated with a bachelors degree in the field of communication where he focused much of his study on video production.

Upon graduating, he decided to return to the university to take two additional classes. One class was an advanced photography class, the other was a screenplay writing course. He wrote an original television episode based on an idea he had for a small video series during his freshman year of high school. He soon fell in love with writing television pilots. Eventually, after writing a few scripts, he decided he needed to return to his roots of writing short stories and novels. He took one of his yet to be written pilot ideas and decided it was time to write and publish a book. “The Grocery Store Spy” was born. More books will follow in the series of the Grocery Store Spy.

He also hopes to begin writing a young adult series based on the earlier screenplay mentioned. What began as an idea for a small web series, turned into a television script, and will eventually meet the light of day as a novel.
